Nicki Relaxed About Future
Clyde midfielder Nicki Paterson spoke to www.clydefc.co.uk after the Berwick match last night, to talk about matters on and off the pitch. He started with the two-goal victory and gave a special mention to his defensive teammates:-
“I loved the game and I’m enjoying things just now. Everyone seems to have a new lease of life and the team is playing well. We’ve made some good additions to the squad and that’s helping everyone.
“It was great to get a clean sheet. Guys like Ross, Alan and Neil have worked hard all year and deserve it.”
Nicki’s good performances have played a part in the Bully Wee taking four points out of the last six and he spoke about his own form:-
“I felt that my game was improving before the winter break arrived. I also managed to do well in some of the bounce matches we played during that period so I was desperate for the competitive action to start again.
“Things have come together for me in the last couple of games. I’ll always work my hardest but thankfully my contribution has been pretty good as well, including a goal.”
The 26-year-old’s future has been a bit of a mystery in recent weeks and he revealed that both he and the club were very much taking things as they come:-
“My future is a bit uncertain, for instance I’m not sure what will happen in terms of a visa. At the moment I’m a Clyde player and that’s it until further notice really – I spoke to the gaffer about it and we were both happy with the situation. I want to be here and hopefully that is showing.”
