Sportsman’s Dinner 2010

The club is delighted to announce details of a very important fundraising event on Clyde FC’s calendar.

This year’s Sportsman’s Dinner will take place on Friday 5th November at the Gartcosh Social Club, which is only five minutes along the road from Broadwood.

Mitchell Gibb, assistant to Stuart Millar during his time as a manager in Junior football, will chair the event and he’ll be joined at the top table by some fantastic speakers; Gordon Smith, Pat Rolink and John Thet Khin.

Gordon Smith will require little introduction. A player of many clubs, he featured in a treble-winning Rangers team, scored in an FA Cup Final and was on the books of two European clubs. He briefly entered football management before recently being chief executive of the SFA and media pundit.

Pat Rolink is a local Lanarkshire lad. He is a former director and commercial manager of Albion Rovers FC and a highly regarded comedian.

John Thet Khin is a retired ex-Government finance manager with Edinburgh City Council. He is a renowned speaker and is honorary president of Scotland’s oldest Burns Club in Greenock.

The speakers have been carefully chosen to make this a ‘lady friendly’ event, allowing gents to bring their partners. Dress is smart but casual.

Prices have been cut from previous years to a very competitive £35 per head, with drink prices also set to be very reasonable. Table bookings can be as large as 12 or as small as 2.

To reserve your places, please contact the commercial department by emailing commercial@clydefc.co.uk, leaving your contact details and desired number of seats.

Look out for further information on the website as the event approaches.
