The Reserve League Cup continued at Broadwood on Monday evening with Clyde and East Stirling sharing the spoils with a 1-1 draw.
Veteran Davie Nicholls opened the scoring with a powerful strike but it wasn’t enough as Clyde dominated the second half and deservedly got an equaliser. It was an excellent goal by John Stewart, with the striker curling the ball home from 20 yards.
Despite late pressure, The Bully Wee couldn’t grab the winner and both teams had to settle for a point.
CLYDE: Hutchison, Girvan, Gray, Mulholland, McGowan, Stevenson, Mills, Sweeney, Trialist (Stewart 65mins), Rankin (McDonald 46) Cochrane (Finlayson 65).
