Draft Articles Released

Clyde FC has tonight released the draft articles which will form the basis of Thursday night’s consultation meeting, which is being held in order to discuss the club’s proposed move from a Private Limited Company to a Community Interest Company (CIC).

A CIC is a limited company, with special additional features. It is created for the use of people who want to conduct a business or other activity for community benefit, and not purely for private advantage. This is achieved by a “community interest test” and “asset lock”, which ensure that the CIC is established for community purposes and the assets and profits are dedicated to these purposes. Registration of a company as a CIC has to be approved by the Regulator who also has a continuing monitoring and enforcement role.

Thursday night will be the opportunity for Clyde supporters and other interested stakeholders to learn more about the proposed CIC and how it will affect the life of the club.

The meeting will commence at 7.30pm in the Clyde Suite, Broadwood Stadium. All are welcome.

Supporters should also be aware that season tickets will also be available to order on the evening.
