Similar Squad to Face Fifers
The Bully Wee travel to Methil tomorrow night to take on East Fife in a re-arranged IRN-BRU Second Division match. The evening sees a full league card taking place across the country, as the big catch up begins.
John McCormack could take a similar squad to that which performed well at Alloa on Saturday, with no fresh injury worries appearing after the game.
However, Alan Lithgow continues to be ruled out with a knee injury and Marvyn Wilson will complete a two-match ban. Youngsters Steven Howarth and Kevin Higgins are also sidelined again due to injury.
The Clyde boss spoke to www.clydefc.co.uk this evening:-
“I was pleased with the performance on Saturday. We played well and entertained, though sometimes you just wish for the three points! People will, of course, point to the penalty miss but we had plenty of chances to score; some after that miss. In fairness, Callum had a couple of great saves too so it could have gone the other way but I felt we were the better team overall.
“The players showed they were up for the fight but it’s important that we don’t play in fits and starts. The position we find ourselves in means that we need consistently strong performances and tomorrow night we need more of the same against East Fife.
“Stevie Crawford’s team played well against us at Broadwood and they will be determined to bounce back after the weekend too. However, we have to concentrate on our own performances and getting points on board. With the games coming thick and fast we can quickly move up this league.”
