New Car Parking Arrangements
Starting from Saturday’s match against Cowdenbeath, all supporters attending Clyde matches at Broadwood will be required to park in the ‘away’ car park to the rear of the Stadium. Click here to view the notice being issued by North Lanarkshire Leisure.
The construction of the new NLL facility has resulted in extreme congestion on match days, which has led to this decision.
The club is currently discussing a number of things around our tenancy at the stadium in a very open minded and refreshing manner with NLL, who have stressed their keenness to support the sustainability of our tenancy. Some very supportive actions by NLL have been greatly appreciated.
The car parking arrangements are simply not capable of supporting both facilities on a match day and whilst the club is unhappy with the situation, the advice from the police to NLL at an operational level is to have football traffic redirected to the away car park for all but match officials, players, buses, disabled supporters and hospitality customers.
We will continue to discuss parking arrangements in conjunction with the many other longer term topics on the agenda, but short-term operational issues and the positive support being given by NLL on other matters requires that we advise fans that use of the away car park will significantly reduce disruption when travelling to the stadium.
