Arbroath 2-0 Clyde
The Bully Wee lost out in today’s crunch match at Gayfield and now have it all do in the fight to survive relegation from the Second Division.
Callum Reidford returned for Clyde and was joined in the team by Aleksandrs Gramovics and Connor Cassidy, who replaced the injured Neil McGowan at left-back.
Willie Sawyers missed a great early chance to open the scoring, but the rest of the first period was dominated by the hosts as Clyde disappointed.
As the second half progressed, the Bully Wee gradually started to exert pressure on the home goal. Sub Dmitrijs Borisovs came close with a neat turn and shot, Willie Kinniburgh had a penalty claim turned down and Kris Doolan passed up a great chance with a tame free-kick from the edge of the box.
At the other end though, a set-peice delivery into the box saw Ross left unmarked and he glanced a header into the corner of the net.
John McCormack’s men tried to get back into the match but a late strike by Dorris, as a Clyde move broke down, wrapped up the three points.
