Youths Set for Wylde Time
Clyde Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Gordon Wylde as under-19 coach. Wylde is, of course, no stranger to the Bully Wee having spent twelve years at the club as a player and coach.
Director of Football, Neil Watt commented on the appointment: “The position of under-19 coach is an important one for the club and I’m delighted that Gordon has agreed to come back to Clyde. The job is one which, especially nowadays, is extremely significant in the life of the club. Gordon brings considerable experience and hopefully we can benefit from that in the years to come.
“While it is not an essential pre-requisite for every job, it is a positive and pleasing factor to have coaches at the club who have an affinity with the Bully Wee and experience of pulling on the Clyde jersey. Gary McPhee and Eddie Annand are already working here and Gordon was keen to move back from his position as St. Mirren’s under-17 coach for this vital role.”
Gordon will begin his role with immediate effect, meeting the squad this week when training resumes after a winter break.
