Stenhousemuir 1-0 Clyde

Clyde lost out at Ochilview today in a frustrating match that could have gone either way.

The Bully Wee found the Warriors’ stubborn resistance hard to break down throughout the 90 minutes, but Alan Lithgow came close with an early header and Willie Sawyers missed a later chance to score with his head.

At the other end, ex-Broadwood man Kevin Bradley was unlucky to see his shot come back off the post.

Kevin Higgins, making his league debut, was an early casualty after suffering concussion and there was another injury problem for Clyde in the second half when Ally Park dislocated his shoulder and was taken to hospital.

By this stage, fog had once again threatened to put the game in doubt but it eventually cleared to improve visibility.

Clear-cut chances were few and far between in the rest of the second period, although Steven Howarth tested home ‘keeper McCluskey with a good long-range effort.

On 78 minutes, a mistake by sub Lee Graham led to Molloy slotting a shot under Callum Reidford, which turned out to be the winning goal.
