Marvyn Misses Out
It’s back to IRN-BRU Second Division duty for the Bully Wee tomorrow, with a trip to Ochilview to face Stenhousemuir.
John McCormack has no fresh injury worries following a busy week, although he will be without new assistant Davie Farrell until next Saturday due to a pre-arranged holiday.
The match has come too soon for Marvyn Wilson – who is recovering from a knee problem – and the Clyde boss could stick with the youngsters who performed well in the midweek cup match.
“I’ve got faith in the young guys at the club and at that age they have no fear,” John told the official website this evening. “We saw that with the way they fought back on Wednesday after losing the goal.
“All our matches are cup ties now as we aim to climb the league and I want the players to show that sort of attitude.
“I think we made steps forward against Livingston. We managed to entertain the fans and create chances and we’re now looking for some consistency going forward.”
Bully Wee fans may recognise a new face in the away dugout tomorrow, as Barry Daniel has been appointed as goalkeeping coach. He was formerly with Albion Rovers and has already worked in the club’s youth academy.
John was keen to add him to the first team coaching staff as he continues to bring in his own ideas.
