Clyde 1-3 Peterhead

After two good wins the Bully Wee suffered a disappointing home defeat at Broadwood today, which once again leaves the club at the bottom of the Second Division.

Clyde started in lively fashion but a goal for the away team after 6 minutes (from a corner) seemed to knock the confidence in the side. The rest of the half was an uphill struggle to get on level terms, with Peterhead looking the more likely to extend the lead.

On the stroke of half-time, a poor challenge by Blue Toon trialist John Stewart on Marvyn Wilson led to the Clyde captain inexplicably lashing out and receiving a straight red card.

A man short, the second half was always going to be difficult for Clyde but the poor performance continued and further Peterhead goals from Stewart and Ross killed the match off.

Paul McLeod grabbed a consolation goal before the end with a tap-in from close range.
