Unite Behind the Bully Wee

The “must win game” cliche can be overused in football but for the Bully Wee tomorrow it certainly applies. Ninth-placed Airdrie United are the visitors to Broadwood for a match that could decide the IRN-BRU First Division relegation battle.

It’s also ‘Unity Day’, with a number of events taking place to ignite the fundraising effort, following this week’s news of a new agreement with Broadwood Stadium Company.

For the match, Clyde will have to make do without Billy Gibson, who broke his foot in training at the start of the week, and Marvyn Wilson, who now begins a three-match suspension.

However, both Alan Trouten and Willie McLaren are available again following bans.

John Brown left the website in no doubt how important tomorrow is:-

“We’ll find out how the guys react to the pressure. I think this season we have underachieved and not performed anywhere near our capabilities.

“Tomorrow is a chance to rectify some of that damage. Our discipline has also affected us badly in the last few weeks and that too needs to addressed but the result will be the judge of everything.

“No player can hide. No player can bottle it. It is simply do or die.”
