Clyde 1 v 3 St. Johnstone
St. Johnstone took a big step towards SPL football at Broadwood tonight as Clyde’s struggle against relegation continued.
The away side enjoyed a lot of the early possession, but ended up taking the lead with their first real shot on goal. Milne was given the ball in the box and he got past Billy Gibson too easily before putting a low shot past Hutton.
There was little time for half-time subs McKay and Trouten to make a difference when Swankie made it 0-2 on 47 minutes.
Against the run of play, Alan Lithgow converted a loose ball in the box to give Clyde hope but only Chris Higgins had a real chance to equalise when his volley from inside the box missed the target.
As the Bully Wee committed more men forward, Milne scored his second and wrapped up the points from close range.
