Brrr-own’s Bulletin!
John Brown spoke to www.clydefc.co.uk today for a quick update following the ‘blank weekend.’ He stated that every effort had been made to ensure the weather did not affect the squad’s work:-
“It’s vitally important that we keep the players in good shape at this time of year.
“The weather has been problematic but that is the same for all clubs when it’s this bad. We have tried to vary things to keep the guys in good spirits. For example, yesterday we were at the Allander Sports Centre in Milngavie and today we are going to my friend’s gym in East Kilbride.
Following the transfer window closing last week, John confirmed that Alan Lowing’s loan spell has ended as expected but was delighted that the Bully Wee Fund has secured two youngsters:-
“Alan did well for us but Rangers wanted him back. It will now give Tony Stevenson a chance to break into the team as we enter an important period.
“Jordan Morton and Connor Stevenson have caught the eye when playing for the reserve side. If they apply themselves in the right way they have a chance and I am hopeful that both will make their first team debuts before the end of the season.”
The Clyde boss concluded with the news that Gregory Tade will miss the Morton match through suspension:-
“That’s a blow for us, but a win on Saturday will put us above them and that is a big incentive for the players as we work towards the match this week.”
