Airdrie 1 v 0 Clyde
BBC ALBA’s first ever live First Division match turned out to be a disappointing encounter as neither team produced top form.
A controversial Pat Clarke red card near the end of the first half also did little to help the spectacle.
Clyde started brightly but it was the home side who took the lead, when Di Giacomo’s low shot went through a crowd of players and into the bottom corner of the net.
Willie McLaren had chances to level the scores but referee Dougie McDonald was getting all the attention when he flashed a red card at Pat Clarke for a poor but barely malicious challenge.
The Bully Wee’s ten men tried to get back into the game in the second half, but sub Scott Gemmill’s shot was blocked by Robertson and Billy Gibson’s volley was also saved.
