Squad Raring to Go

Weather permitting, Clyde will take on Dundee at Broadwood tomorrow and it’s a fixture that both sets of players will be hoping goes ahead after last week’s enforced break.

Milder weather today has given hope that the pitch will be ready for the match and will endeavour to keep you updated again tomorrow morning.

The Bully Wee team news is similar to last week; Neil McGregor, Stuart Kettlewell and Michael Ohnesorge are out. Gary McSwegan is down as a doubt following a strain that forced him to miss Tuesday’s reserve match.

Several players that contributed to a good showing in that game may have done enough to enter John Brown’s thoughts on who will feature tomorrow.

Assistant manager Dougie Bell spoke this evening about the players’ desire to get back into the action:-

“Hopefully the game will be on and we can get a good result on the board. The players are keen to get back on with it after getting a few good results recently.

“A win would give us chance of overtaking Morton and give us a real boost ahead of the Airdrie match on Tuesday. Ideally we want to get at least four points from the next four days.

“The good thing is that we have plenty of options available if we want to make a change, even just on the bench. The Reserve League Cup has been great for keeping the squad ticking over and guys like Ruari MacLennan, Scott Gemmill, Marc McCusker and Alan Trouten put a stake in on Tuesday.

“Jocky Scott has had a great start with Dundee. They’ve been involved in a lot of tight games and I think tomorrow will be the same.”
