Clyde 1 v 0 Dundee
The Bully Wee ended Dundee’s recent run of good results with a hard fought victory over the Tayside club this afternoon.
Willie McLaren (left) was the hero for Clyde, with a composed finish after 66 minutes proving to be the vital goal.
In truth, there was little for either ‘keeper to contend with during what was a very tight and competitive match. Dundee failed to capitalise on some teasing deliveries into the box and at the other end it was a case of the wrong option being chosen in the final third.
Substitute Scott Gemmill had a short but eventful three minutes on the pitch, which saw him being involved in the goal before receiving two bookings in quick succession.
There was also time at the end for Dees sub Young to also see red after just three minutes on the park, when he pulled down Paul Emslie as last man.
The visitors pushed hard for a late equaliser but created little as the Clyde defence held firm to secure a terrific three points.
