Clyde 0 v 2 Dunfermline Athletic

Two goals in a five minute spell near the end of the first half proved to be enough for Dunfermline to win today’s First Division match at Broadwood.

The Bully Wee, minus several players through injury, competed fairly well in the opening part of the match but the Pars were on top before the break and managed to get two goals. Kirk finished well after getting on the end of a terrific pass by Harper, with the winger getting his own name on the scoresheet minutes later with a shot from 20 yards.

Most of the second half was played in the visitors half, but Clyde found it difficult to carve out any clear-cut chances. Stuart Kettlewell came close when he played a neat one-two with Gary McSwegan but his shot went wide.

A very disappointed John Brown said after the match that he felt only four members of his squad showed the correct attitude during the match.
