Bad News for Billy

Billy Gibson is set for a spell on the sidelines with ankle ligament damage.

The defender picked up the injury in the first half of Saturday’s match and was forced to leave the field and go to hospital for tests.

A disappointed John Brown said today:-

“Billy came down awkwardly on his ankle and, at the moment, it looks like he could be out for four to six weeks. It’s a blow for us because he has been our best player this season.

“There’s still a lot of swelling around his ankle so we’ll probably have a better idea next week how bad the injury is, but he’s certainly going to miss a couple of matches at least.”
