Club Greats Set to Attend Friendly
The match against Hibernian at Broadwood on July 30th looks set to be a special occasion.
The pre-season contest has been arranged to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the 1958 Scottish Cup Final between The Bully Wee and the Edinburgh club.
Both teams on that day were filled with stars and the full line-ups were as follows:-
CLYDE: Tommy McCulloch, Albert Murphy, Harry Haddock, Joe Walters, Willie Finlay, Mike Clinton, George Herd, Danny Currie, Johnny Coyle, Archie Robertson, Tommy Ring.
HIBS: Lawrie Leslie, John Grant, Joseph McClelland, Eddie Turnbull, Jackie Plenderleith, John Baxter, John Fraser, Andy Aitken, Joe Baker, Tommy Preston, Willie Ormond.
The surviving members of each side, such as Tommy McCulloch and George Herd for Clyde, will be invited to Broadwood to watch the match as special guests of the club.
These players will be introduced to both sets of fans, which is sure to be enjoyed by all present.
