Two Youngsters Step Up
Two members of the club’s under-19 squad, Stephen Connolly and Jordan Murch, have been awarded 1 year professional contracts and will step up to the first team squad next season.
Jordan, 18, has progressed through the ranks from the under-17 side.
Stephen, also 18 and formerly of Hamilton Accies, made his Clyde debut when he came on as a substitute in unfortunate circumstances during the ill-fated trip to Firhill in August.
Coach Dougie Bell spoke to www.clydefc.co.uk about the pair:-
“I’m pleased that both of them have been retained and I think they could make an impact.
“Stephen is a pacey left winger who is exciting to watch. He also gets on the scoresheet and I’m sure that when he gets some games under his belt and builds his confidence he will become a very good player.
“Jordan was close to being brought into the first team earlier this season but injuries held him back. He works had in the middle of the park and is a good tackler. He’s got a good physique and he’s done well when he’s trained with the first team.”
