Albertz Returns for Season’s Finale

There was no doubting the importance of tomorrow’s match for anyone at Broadwood today, and John Brown spoke to www.clydefc.co.uk after training:-

“It’s a massive game for Clyde Football Club and hopefully every fan of the club will turn out, urge the boys on and stick with it for 90 minutes.”

Jorg Albertz suffered no ill effects during the training session and is back in contention for a place in the team. Michael McGowan also returns following a suspension but Neil McGregor is banned due to his red card at Hamilton last week. John continued:-

“It’s important that we win the match first and foremost. People are talking about goal difference but it might not come to that. Morton are away from home and Firhill is a difficult place to go and get a result at the best of times.

“We had a good result and performance in our last outing at Broadwood and that’s something we can use as a positive.

“I watched Stirling on Wednesday and they did very well against St. Johnstone. They created a lot of chances and I felt 3-1 flattered St. Johnstone. We’ll need to be on our guard as they are capable of scoring goals.

“The players have everything to play for. We’re setting out to win the game and see if we can get a few goals. We’ll be playing three strikers and it’s down to us to take our chances when they come along. We’ll see if we’ve done enough at the end of the game.”
