Not Hammer Time Yet…

Despite media reports to the contrary, the club can confirm that Jorg Albertz has not yet signed for Clyde. Following training with The Bully Wee last week, the ex-Rangers player will, however, be returning to Broadwood on Friday and all are hopeful that a deal will be concluded then.

Certainly Manager John Brown was fulsome in his praise for his former team mate: “Jorg has, of course, got lots of experience and he has kept himself in good shape. I saw that first hand when he was over in Scotland last week and trained with all the players.

“Jorg is a good friend of mine and he has a lot of feelings for this country and is keen to help us out.

“He is 37, his fitness levels have looked good and he hasn’t put on weight. Certainly his vast experience will rub off on our younger players and during games he will want to get on the ball and make things happen for the team. All in all it will be a great bonus between now and the end of the season to have him involved in the first team squad and hopefully that will happen very soon.”
