Charity Challenge
The countdown is on for the latest thrillseeking fundraiser with Clyde’s Charity partners, the Scottish Spina Bifida Association. The Cumbernauld based charity has once again organised a Blaze Firewalk Challenge, this time on the 23rd February – in the evening after our match with Dunfermline Athletic at Broadwood.
The firewalk takes place at the SSBA’s headquarters in Cumbernauld, which is only a 5 minute drive from Broadwood. Registration is at 6.30pm and all participants then go through a
‘Learn or Burn’ fear buster seminar. At 9pm, the firewalkers make their way to the firebed where they walk over 20′ of wood embers burning at 1236 degrees Fahrenheit!
By taking part in the Scottish Spina Bifida Association’s firewalk you will be raising the vital funds required to run the Family Support Service and Family Support Centre which currently assists over 3000 children, young people and adults across Scotland.
This year the event is kindly sponsored by the Scottish Round Table, Area 51 central Scotland, so every penny you raise will go straight to the SSBA.
For you to take part in this fantastic event, all we ask is that you pledge to raise the minimum sponsorship of £125. To ensure your place on the evening £50 of the £125 will be sent in advance as a registration fee (this is non-refundable).
