David And Dusan Sign New Deals
Clyde goalkeeper David Hutton has signed an extension to his current contract that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2009.
Additionally, Slovakian defender Dusan Bestvina has now signed a professional contract that also extends his stay to next season.
Colin Hendry spoke to www.clydefc.co.uk this evening and was delighted to have sealed both signatures. On Clyde’s popular “number 1”, he said:-
“David is a shining example to the rest of the squad and he loves it here at Broadwood. Both he and the club are delighted to have concluded this deal.
“He has been a model of consistency. We have talked for a while and he is keen to make it to the next level, north and south of the border, and I have no doubt that he will make it. He started his career with Aberdeen and when things did not work out he has shown a tremendous work ethic in getting back into the senior game.
“As for Dusan, he has been very, very effective. The times he has been left out have been more due to tactical reasons than anything else. He deserves this contract and I look forward to seeing him establish himself more and more in the first team.”
