Higgy’s Hundred

Chris Higgins will notch his 100th appearance for The Bully Wee if, as expected, he lines up against Hamilton Accies on Boxing Day.

The defender, who was signed in 2005 after leaving Motherwell, has become an integral part of a successful Clyde defence over the last three seasons. As a member of the team that defeated Celtic in January last year, Chris will already be easily remembered in the club’s history but thoroughly deserves this latest accolade.

Both sides have had ten days to prepare for the New Douglas Park clash, as neither played at the weekend. Clyde are going into the match on the back of a five match unbeaten run but will face a tough test against the league leaders.

Colin Hendry will wait until Wednesday morning to make a final assessment on the fitness of some squad members, but one player who will definitely miss out is Dougie Imrie (suspended).
