Clyde v Livingston

Dougie Bell spoke to www.clydefc.co.uk ahead of tomorrow’s match at home to Livingston. Mark Proctor’s side are coming off the back of a fine victory over Hamilton that gave them hope that their promotion dream is still alive, but the Clyde Coach was looking forward to the match:-

“I think it will be a good game. In general we’ve not been as good at home as we have away recently so it’s important that we set the tempo of the match early on, as we did against Montrose.

“It’s the type of match we need to start winning; the Partick and Morton results were poor.”

Steven Masterton and Gary Arbuckle have resumed training and should be added to the squad, but Dougie Imrie is out suspended. Bell continued:-

“Livingston looked good in the second half at Almondvale and we lost our shape but I thought before the sending off we were doing really well in that match.

“We’ve not been losing a lot at the back and I think at times in recent weeks we’ve created a few more chances. A plus point for us has been that the guys coming into the side have looked sharp thanks to the reserve and under-19 fixtures.

“We’ve got a lot of matches coming up and the next two are really important. If we can get results in them then we’d really improve our position.”
