Injury Worries For Colin

Colin Hendry spoke to the Official Website this afternoon about tomorrow’s match against Queen of the South and revealed that there would be some enforced changes to the starting line-up:-

“It would be foolish for me to mention names but we’re going to be missing a few players. It’s going to be a tougher game than last week’s but it’s one we have to try and get a result in.

“I thought the first half was really good last week. We had a young player making his debut in the

side and we did well, creating a lot of chances. The second half was disappointing but, having said that, we’d all have taken 2-0 before the match started.

“It’s been difficult to try and work on things this week with so many players missing from training. It’s been commented that we seem to play more football away from home but that certainly doesn’t come from the dugout. We’re constantly reminding David Hutton to give the ball to the full backs and build from the back when possible. We know that we need to win more at home, though.

“I thought we did extremely well down at Dumfries and should have won the game. It’s an old record but anyone can beat anyone in this league and tomorrow is no different for either side.”

The Clyde boss also gave his thoughts on yesterday’s Scottish Cup draw and the news that the match will be shown live on Sky Sports:-

“I’m excited about the draw. Dundee United are a very good side and very difficult to play against. I’m also glad that the cameras are coming to Cumbernauld. It’s good for the game itself and it’ll give a lot of people the chance to see the club in action first hand.

“People in England are constantly on the phone asking me about the club and our players so it’s a chance for them to see it for themselves rather than me telling them!

“I hope the extra income will help with the squad but that will be up to the Board! I don’t think I’m speaking out of turn to say that I’ll be asking them what we can now do.”
