Search Goes On…
Colin Hendry spoke to www.clydefc.co.uk this evening and he brought word of another frustrating day for the Bully Wee in their search to augment the squad. “I’m working hard to see if we can get someone in for Saturday but nothing is sorted yet.”
Colin explained, “The difficulty with some of the trialists that have been involved in training is that they are so far off the pace in regards to fitness that it is very difficult to judge. But I will not give up my search to add quality.”

Colin also mentioned a big disappointment today, “We did have a player return to training today who I felt could make a difference; Robbie Foy. He did well during pre-season for us but unfortunately broke his foot towards the start of the season. Today he came back and in a challenge broke his foot again. It’s a nightmare for the boy who I thought could, and will, boost the side but he will again be on the sidelines.”
Colin concluded, “The Queen of the South match will be a difficult task. It will be the players who are at their best who will start. I don’t have the luxury to chop and change for the sake of it or leave players out for a rest. The players who are in possession can only play themselves out of it – others will need to wait to get back into the side. We need to concentrate and not make silly errors when we are in possession and get that vital goal in front. I have faith in the players here to do well.”
