Four Players Signed
Gary Arbuckle, Christian Smith, Craig Potter and Andrew Traub have all agreed terms with the club this afternoon. Arbuckle and Smith put pen to paper on one year contracts with Potter and Traub committing to shorter term deals at present.
Gary Arbuckle needs little introduction to Bully Wee fans as he now enters his fourth season with the club. He will be hoping to build on the fine form he found during a spell of 2006/07 which led to him finishing as top scorer.
Christian Smith, 19, was released by Port Vale at the end of last season. Colin Hendry had previously seen him in action in England and moved to bring him into pre-season training. The “tough tackling” midfielder will now be hoping to get his career back on track at Broadwood.
Defender Craig Potter played against Clyde for his former club Airdrie United last season and caught the eye in training and closed door games during the summer. Craig is also cousin of former Clyde favourite, John.
Andrew Traub, also a defender, was a Celtic youth until the end of last season and at the age of just 18 will be hoping that Broadwood is the place where he can prove his ability.
