Club Statement

The Board has already expressed its profound disappointment at the outcome of the Tribunal. There is little doubt that the severity of the allegations and the corroboration of these by a number of credible witnesses made it essential that they be investigated. From day one the club enlisted the advice of an independent employment lawyer and followed his instructions to the letter throughout all aspects of the investigation. We are currently awaiting the full written statement before deciding on our next move.

We can assure our fans that new external funds are in place to cover all costs related to the tribunal without in any way impacting on the playing budget for the season ahead. No funds raised by the Supporters’ Trust, by fans or any organisation associated with the club will be involved in this settlement.

We would ask the fans to give Colin and the players their support as they commence their training programme for the new season. There is no alternative but to move on and to focus on the season ahead and our determination to do all we can for the club at every level. We remain committed to having a management team and playing staff that we can be proud of and who will uphold the good name of Clyde at all times.
