Clyde v St. Johnstone
Joe Miller spoke to www.clydefc.co.uk tonight and is looking forward to the prospect of two high profile matches in 5 days: “I said at the start of the season we would have a say in who goes up! I just thought it would be slightly different!”
Nevertheless Joe is keen to face up to the two frontrunners: “Saints have had a magnificent season and were a credit to the division in the major cup competitions this year but I think they may have left it just too late this time as it is not in their hands.
“The boys are certainly looking forward to the game on Tuesday night. It will be a tough test, injuries are hitting us hard now and the absence of Chris Higgins to suspension is another huge loss.
“It is times like this that we realise how tight the squad is with McGregor, McCann and Hunter missing we will be stretched to the limit I may even need to make an appearance on the bench! However the boys in the past have reacted well to adversity and I don’t doubt their ability to do so again.
“Finance dictates that we have to operate on a limited number of players, having a few extra experienced men would undoubtedly make a difference. However the lads have done well this year, we have a lot of youngsters who are growing game by game and this week is another examination of their ability. I’ve asked them to make one last final push. There will be plenty time after the Dundee game to relax so we will be going all out to finish the season on a high.”
