Clyde 0 v 1 QOS
It was a disappointing afternoon at a sunny Broadwood today as Clyde’s unbeaten run came to an end against a Queen of the South team visibly hungrier to win the three points.
In a fairly even first half, Clyde came closest to scoring when a Steve Masterton free-kick rattled the bar. Stephen Dobbie threatened for the visitors with a powerful shot that went over David Hutton’s bar.
After the break Ruari MacLennan saw his 20 yard effort well saved but as the second half continued Queen of the South improved and a tackle in the box by Robert Harris – described as “clumsy” by his manager – led to Dobbie making the scoreline 0-1 from the spot.
Despite the below par performances of several of the team, they can, however, consider themselves a little unlucky in front of goal after hitting the bar a further two times in the closing stages through Ferguson and Higgins.
