Gilmour Signs On

Clyde Football Club are pleased to announce the signature of Brian Gilmour. The midfielder has been training at the club for a couple of weeks and goes straight into the squad for tomorrow’s clash with Livingston.

Gilmour, who started his career with Rangers, has signed a deal until the end of the season.

New signing Brian spoke exclusively to www.clydefc.co.uk: “I’m just delighted to get the opportunity of challenging for first team football. All in all I was 11 years at Rangers and I needed a change. I spoke with the gaffer there and we were all agreed that the best option for me was to get regular first team football.

“I’m really pleased about signing for Clyde and hopefully before long I’ll get my chance in the first team. It will then be up to me to work hard for the team and keep my place but I’m just desperate to play.”

The sub zero temperatures in Cumbernauld over the past week has left some doubt in peoples’ minds over the clash. Groundstaff worked on the pitch this afternoon. A final decision will be made in the morning. The pitch has been hard for most of the week but it improved alot today but whether the game goes ahead is dependent on overnight temperatures.

Meanwhile the squad trained this morning on the Broadwood astroturf with only Neil McGregor absent. The young central defender went through his knee op today. Centre half Craig McKeown will be given every chance to make the clash but apart from that Joe Miller has a full squad to choose from for Livingston’s visit.
