Clyde 2 v 0 Gretna

Clyde were convincing winners against the league leaders at Broadwood today. A brilliant early goal by Steve Masterton set The Bully Wee on their way but continued domination didn’t lead to further goals as Imrie and Masterton in particular missed chances before half-time.

On a pitch becoming increasingly heavy in the wet conditions, Clyde worked extremely hard to preserve their lead in the second period and had to wait until the 87th minute to secure the victory when Gary Arbuckle notched his 8th goal of the season with a cool finish.

For the second week running there was no failure in a white jersey and the result moves Clyde into 6th place in the First Division.
