Joe Not Blue After Dundee
Joe Miller spoke to the website this afternoon and reflected further on the positive result against Dundee.
“Without a doubt it was a good result. We had to dig deep and give a battling performance. Dundee threw everything at us in the second half but I think we demonstrated that we have learnt from the past. We’ve played so often against 10 men this year that we knew what was required. I felt we were unfortunate with the penalty but we played out the game and were worthy of the win.”
The match came after quite a difficult week…
“Yes. A number of players went down with the mumps and stretched the squad to the limit but at the time of speaking it appears that the virus has abated and others have escaped it. But I have decided to be cautious and gave the guys some time off this week so here’s hoping that before very long it will be all behind us and we will be back up to maximum strength.”
The team started well…
“They did. It was something that we have been concentrating on and we did get out of the stalls quite well. In every game it is essential that we do that especially at Broadwood otherwise you are asking for trouble.”
