Partick Thistle 1 Clyde 1

Clyde left Firhill tonight disappointed and once more rueing the fact that they could not turn possession into goals. After a non-eventful first half, Clyde took the ascendancy and deservedly took the lead in the 57th minute. Substitute Gary Arbuckle steered the ball home from a tight angle after an error by former favourite Pat Keogh. The Bully Wee continued to play impressively but the second goal did not arrive.

With 15 minutes remaining Stephen O’Donnell was fouled by Darren Brady and as the Clyde midfielder received treatment the home side showed no mercy as they swept up the field and equalised with a close range Jimmy Gibson header after an excellent Mark Roberts cross.

Prior to the game the attention was on Thistle as they wanted three points to grab top spot but in the end it was Clyde who went home the more disappointed.
