Team News
Clyde face St Johnstone at Broadwood tomorrow and are boosted with the news that Joe Miller can pick from a fully fit squad with the only exception being Paul McHale. Given McHale’s form in central midfield his absence will be a loss but it is also an opportunity for others to stake their claim in the starting line up.
Joe spoke to the website earlier in the week
“We’ve played well in patches against all the pre-season favourites but we fail to close games down and consequently have let others in the back door: Livingston and Gretna twice have been examples of that.”
“I honestly don’t believe people have seen the best of us yet. But we have got to a cup final and have gathered some points but we need to start getting more.”
“We also need to start playing to our own strengths rather than being sucked into what the opposition wants. We can t just get into the trap of getting the ball forward quickly, rather we have to ensure that we get the ball down and pass it.”
More of Joe’s comments can be read in this week’s edition of Clyde View available tomorrow priced £2.50.
