David Fleming

The club was saddened to hear today of the death of former director David Fleming. David died peacefully at his home following a long illness.

David was a member of the Clyde Board in the latter stages of Billy Carmichael’s stewardship. He was then one of the first Director’s to promote the wider involvement of the Clyde support in heading off a rival takeover bid. A bid that was finally defeated when the current fans consortium gained control in 2004.

Throughout David was a consistent supporter of Clyde’s youth football programme and all at the club would like to forward their sympathy to his wife Christine and his two sons Craig and Grant, at this sad time.
