Weekend Preview *Updated*
Clyde entertain Gretna on Sunday afternoon at Broadwood but the extra day is unlikely to be enough to allow Stevie Masterton to take part in the Bully Wee’s first home match of the season. The game is also too soon for Clyde’s centre half Craig McKeown (pictured left) so the line up it would seem will be similar to the previous two matches.
Paul McHale (pictured right) has started the season in great form and he will be keen to maintain that form on Sunday however the central midfielder could be excused
One man who definitely will not be taking part is experienced front man Billy Dodds. Billy has been training with the squad but Joe Miller ruled out the possibility that Dodds was one of his short term signing targets..
Joe commented, “Billy is here to keep fit. He lives nearby and after I met up with him one day, we were chatting and he took up the offer of coming to Broadwood. It can be difficult to adjust from the life of a full time footballer and being around the dressing room each day to not being involved at all. So Billy will come and train and I’m sure the young guys will benefit from his experience albeit just at training.”
Meanwhile the club is actively pursuing a signing target to add some height and strength to the forward line but the deal will not be completed in time for this weekend’s game.
