Mcgowan Fighting Fit

One player missing from this weekend’s action was Michael McGowan and the club has moved quickly to clear up any confusion over his absence.

The talented right back had an incredible season last year from being spotted in the preseason trials to representing Northern Ireland at Under 21 level.

McGowan underwent surgery for a hernia at the end of the season. Michael has fully recovered from this injury and took part in the intensive pre season training.

Due to his time in hospital however he missed out on a family holiday and therefore the coaching staff granted him permission to take a short break and look forward to seeing him compete for a starting place again very soon.
