Working Hard!

The bulk of the Clyde squad have finished day five of their pre season training and it seems to have been a successful first week with the players working hard to prepare for the season ahead.

The squad was supplemented by several of the Under 17 and the Under 19 squad eager to impress the coaching staff as they were put through their paces at the University playing fields in Stepps.

The club had planned to take on Rangers in a closed door match at Murray Park at the weekend however the decision was taken not to accept this invitation. Rangers, who will be sending a squad to Broadwood on the 15th July to face the Bully Wee, will be entering into their third week of training and it was considered to be too much too soon for the players. This was especially due to the fact that some of the squad have had only a couple of days full training after returning from holiday.

So Paul Le Guen will have to wait a little longer before facing the Clyde!
