Thanks To The Fans
Clyde chairman Len McGuire contacted the website on behalf of his fellow directors this morning, eager to pass on his and his fellow directors appreciation for the support of the Bully Wee fans in what has been an eventful and enjoyable season.
“Coming out of the CVA, the club had no reserves to call on, and had to set a tough but realistic budget for the 2005-6 season. In addition we had only two signed players at one point and had to begin the search for a new management team.
“The management team have done a superb job of finding and signing a group of young players who have done themselves and the club proud over the past 9 months.”
“We believe we are on the
a) Reduced prices of children’s season tickets to £5 in an effort to encourage the next generation of Clyde fans.
b) Secured a second season with first team sponsor in Optical Express
c) Signed a new 3 year kit deal on very favourable financial terms with Lotto & set delivery dates in order to allow the club shop to have the new kit to sell during the summer months.
d) Held a successful Community day at the game against Stranraer, where a number of commercial opportunities were identified, and showcased the beginning of our plans for community involvement with Clyde FC.
The more fans that become a season ticket holders or executive members then the more the Board can support the management team in their ambitions for Clyde. Details will soon be distributed on how fans can play their part. We hope that all the supporters will enjoy the new season and give all their support to the management and the team for 2006-7.”
