Clyde were pleased to confirm today that Stevie Masterton has signed a 2 year contract with the club. As previously revealed on the website in April, the ex Killie midfielder agreed terms with the Bully Wee and is keen to add to his 25 appearances that he made in his debut season.

The youngster put in some strong performances in the first team particularly when Paul McHale was out injured and his signing is a boost to the squad. Stevie was a powerful midfielder and many fans will remember his Broadwood bullet that secured the points for the Bully Wee against Stranraer in December. Masterton is certainly a player that the fans will be delighted to see signed up for 2006/07 and beyond.

Despite newspaper reports to the contrary no other deals have been signed but the club remains in talks with several of last season’s squad and the website will bring you news when these deals have been officially concluded.
