Backing The Bully Wee

With the news of a further sponsorship deal, Clyde director David Dalziel reflected on the achievement, “We are delighted that before the end of May, we have agreed an innovative and groundbreaking deal with our shirt suppliers Lotto, as well as obtaining deals for shirt sponsorship with Optical Express who will sponsor our home strip and now the Dubai Property Centre who will continue to sponsor our away strip. I think it demonstrates the progress the club has made off the field in recent times.”

David continued, “The loss of league sponsorship and prior to that pools money has made it difficult for clubs out with the SPL. These deals are crucial as the club needs to ensure that we can support Graham and Joe to build a team that can be as competitive as possible in the First Division.”

“Shirt deals are of course just one aspect of supporting the club. At our final home game we highlighted to a number of companies the different ways in which they could support Clyde from programme and trackside advertising to corporate hospitality and the response has been encouraging but there remains much work to be done.”

David was keen to impress that supporting the club financially is of course not the sole preserve of business as the ordinary fan remains the lifeblood. “Supporting the Bully Wee fund, purchasing in the club shop and buying season tickets are some of the best ways for the ordinary fan to back Clyde.”

“We have a very loyal fanbase and its important that we thank all those who continue to support us in these ways and I urge others who can to join us as we strive to once more to upset the odds next season.”
