Miller Challenge
Joe Millar took time out to speak to the website on his views on the season to date. Despite the recent dip in form, Joe has no regrets, when asked whether he would have swapped the performances in the cup for higher league placing the Assistant manager was honest in his assessment.
“I wouldn’t have swapped anything. In all honesty the poor result at Gretna has affected the club as opposed to being involved in the cup we are looking longer term now. But we need to learn from the games against Manchester United, Rangers and Celtic. For example when the guys stood in the tunnel against the bigger teams then it looked like wee boys against men.”
“We have said to the squad, now is the time to prepare for next season by going into the gym and working hard to ensure that the guys who have the necessary skill are not muscled off the ball.”
“We need competition for places and a depth to our squad. I thought we could win the title this year but it proved to be a big ask but there is no reason why we can’t challenge next season.”
Joe spoke at length and his full interview will be in this weekend’s Clyde View priced £2.50.
