Club Comment

Clyde Director John Ruddy spoke to the website today in response to an article in one of today’s tabloids. “It’s very regrettable when a former player chooses to make such comments after leaving the Club.”

“It has been a remarkable season for Clyde as both sides of the Old Firm have failed to beat the Bully Wee over ninety minutes and this was of course culminated by the historic beating of Celtic in the Scottish Cup.”

“As a Club we are delighted with the success this season. The commitment and skill of the management team has been vital in achieving those results which have produced such joy for Clyde fans.”

John continued: “It is obvious to all that the secret of our success has been hard work and a disciplined approach which has enabled the players to focus on improving their skills.”

“At Broadwood, we are extremely proud that players like Tom Brighton, Craig Bryson and Michael McGowan have all been recognised this season at international level and again this is a tribute to the management and players.”

“We all wish Billy Brawley success with his career at Selkirk and are obviously disappointed that he failed to make the grade with Clyde.”
