Sunday Relish…

Team captain Stephen O’Donnell was happy to chat to the website: “The players are excited by the prospect and our mood is brilliant even though yesterday was one of the busiest days of my life! From giving a tour of Cumbernauld for Sky Sports to posing for photos and talking to journalists. It’s been a great experience.”

“Sunday will also be special as it gives me a chance to go up against my best mate Stephen McManus. He’s already joked that he wants to have a kick at me while I’m keen to nutmeg him!”

Stephen continued: “Sunday is not about individuals. The whole squad loves playing for Clyde and enjoy what Graham and Joe are trying to achieve at Broadwood. I now look forward to match days and that hasn’t always been the case for me. I know from experience the grass isn’t always greener. Money isn’t everything. The management demands us to play in a style that suits me. I couldn’t cope in a team that just lumped it forward and it is therefore a pleasure to play for the club.”

“We have not achieved anything yet but we have a desire and enthusiasm that has built a momentum that we want to keep going. Like the others who have signed extended deals I believe that something special is happening here and Sunday will be another occasion that I will relish and gain valuable experience from.”
