Queen Of The South 1 V 2 Clyde

Clyde secured a tremendous 2-1 victory at Dumfries this afternoon to stretch their unbeaten run to six games.

Goals from Neil McGregor (pictured left) and Alex Williams helped the Bully Wee to gain maximum points in impressive style.

Clyde went ahead in the fifty-second minute when Alex Williams slipped the ball through to Craig Bryson. Craig’s clever cut-back was slotted home by Neil McGregor.

Clyde deservedly went further ahead fifteen minutes from time when Williams sidefooted a Stephen O’Donnell cross into the net.

Two minutes from time, Queens’ David McNiven pulled a goal back with a late header from a John O’Neill cross.

Graahm Roberts was delighted with his young team’s efforts in the second forty-five minutes: “Our second half performance was excellent and the two goals we scored were straight from the top drawer.”
