Robert Hannah contacted the website with a seasonal message as winter bites. “Frost is forecast, so Clyde FC are looking for volunteers to put covers down on the pitch in preparation for Saturday’s home game against Airdrie United.”

“Volunteers will be required on Thursday 24th November at approximately 11am for a few hours to help lay down frost covers. Last season the volunteers helped tremendously in ensuring games went ahead most notably the cup tie against Celtic so any assistance is greatly appreciated. If you can manage please contact the stadium on 01236 451511 to confirm arrangements prior to arriving.”

Robert continued, “Of course the covers will be required to be lifted up before the game on Saturday so volunteers will also be needed on the morning of the match day itself. Remember for this vital job: hats, gloves and warm clothing need to be worn.”
